Overview

This vessel was authorised by Taiwan to operate in the Pacific Ocean. Taiwan found evidence of this vessel operating illegally in the Marshall Islands EEZ in 2009. Taiwan ordered this vessel to return to Taiwan, but the vessel absconded. As a result, the vessel was included in the WCPFC IUU List in July 2009. The IOTC received evidence showing this vessel landed catch at Phuket port, Thailand in 2013 and claimed registry in Taiwan. Due to this vessels conflict with Taiwan in 2009, this vessel was deemed to be operating without authorisation in the IOTC Convention Area and was included in the IOTC IUU List in May 2015. Ownership of vessel has been linked to Chang Lin Pao-Chun and Mr Jang Faa Sheng.
