This vessel was originally Japan flagged until transferring flags to Honduras in November 1995. Ownership of this vessel transferred to Dalian Overseas Fishery and flag to Equatorial Guinea in 1998 alongside name change to CHANG YOW 212. Vessel details later changed to DAE YANG NO 606, owner Dae Yang Fisheries Co Ltd and flag South Korea from 2002-2013. On 21 November 2004, ICCAT included this vessel in the ICCAT IUU list for operating in the convention area without authorisation. This vessel was later delisted on 26 November 2006. This vessel held IOTC authorisation to operate between 24 May 2013 and 11 February 2015 alongside ICCAT authorisation to operate between 24 May 2013 and 23 May 2018. These authorisations coincided with ownership transfer to Grand Fishery Co Ltd on 24 May 2013. SeaWeb earlier (2009) reported the vessel as broken up, but has now (2010/08) changed that and reports new name DAE YANG NO. 606 and owner Dae Yang Fisheries Co Ltd and flag South Korea from 2002. It is not clear if the vessel was delisted because the vessel was assumed scrapped.
