Overview

On 19 April 2015 this vessel, then named BEO HINGIS, was intercepted and boarded whilst anchored in the Chagos Archipelago, Indian Ocean. Gillnets, drift nets and baited fishing lines were found onboard. The vessel was subsequently detained for fishing without a license and possession of prohibited fishing gear. This vessel was flagged to India and under ownership of Nasians. P. S/O Pethuru at the time of detention. This vessel was deemed to be partnered with another vessel, THANK YOU JESUS, detained during the same patrol. BEO HINGIS was later intercepted at Fort Kochi port in India on 10 October 2017. The vessel was impounded, licenses revoked, and issued a fine. The vessel had recently changed names to AROGYA ANNAI.
