This vessel was first included on the NPFC IUU List on 19 August 2018 for operating in the Convention Area without authorisation. A Japanese patrol aircraft sighted this fishing vessel operating at 42˚7.1'N, 151˚40.9'E on 7 July 2017. This vessel was flagged to China and owned by Shidao Group Co,. Ltd at the time of IUU activity. This vessel was inspected by China on 9 October 2017 and removed from the China registry soon after. Japanese authorities suggest this vessel operates in cooperation with LU RONG YUAN YU 787.
