This vessel was sighted by a Japanese coast guard vessel operating in the Japan EEZ on 10 and 13 May 2016 and in the NPFC area on 15, 29 May and 7 Sep 2016. The vessel name displayed on the port and starboard side of this vessel changed frequently throughout sightings with 661 being removed and repainted on the vessel. The vessel showed a Japanese flag in May but is not permitted in Japan nor registered in the NPFC registry. Due to this evidence, this vessel was included in the NPFC IUU List in July 2017.
