COMBINED IUU VESSEL LIST

This vessel was originally Portuguese flagged and owned. In 1996 the vessel was flagged to the Falkland Islands and ownership changed to a Falkland Islands based company, Murtosa Fishing Co. This vessel transferred flag to Togo in 2004 and has maintained the name MURTOSA throughout. NEAFC included this vessel in the NEAFC IUU B list on 15 November 2005 for its involvement in the fishing of Redfish in the Irminger Sea without authorisation. Last known sighting of this vessel was in Aveiro port, Portugal. IHS data shows the vessel was hulked in 2009 and designated to be broken up in July 2014.
