While LU RONG YUAN YU 101 is registered as a purse seine vessel in the NPFC list, two vessels with different vessel types were seen in the NPFC Convention Area using this name. LU RONG YUAN YU 101 was seen at 49˚9.2'N, 149˚19.5'E on 17 May 2016 using lift nets. Another LU RONG YUAN YU 101 was seen at 38˚0.2'N, 145˚58.5'E on 20 May 2016 fishing with stern trawl. Images of these vessel show port displayed on the vessels as Shidao. This vessel was included in the NPFC IUU list on 13 November 2017. NPFC considers any vessel using the name LU RONG YUAN YU 101 to be operating illegally.
