Overview

On Thursday 11th December 2014, whilst conducting British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) patrol BIOT Patrol Vessel (BPV) ‘Pacific Marlin’ apprehended this vessel for fishing within BIOT waters without authorisation and the use of prohibited fishing gear. Whilst being escorted to port, this vessel fled to the high seas. Due to this encounter, this vessel was included in the IOTC IUU list in May 2017 and delisted on 14 December 2018. This vessel was flagged to India, operated by Mr James Robert and under ownership of SD. Jelvish s/o Dicostan.
