COMBINED IUU VESSEL LIST

This vessel was originally Japanese flagged and owned. From 1998 to 2001 it was flagged to Cambodia, Honduras and Belize, but ownership during this period is not known. From 2001-2006 the vessel was flagged to the Philippines and owned by Song Maw Fishery SA (Panama) followed by Jetmark International Fishing Corp. The vessel was IUU listed by IATTC for fishing without authorisation. The vessel operated for some years in the Indian Ocean as the SHYANG CHYANG NO. 889 under the Seychelles, and then Tanzania, flags. In 2016 the vessel was renamed SAGE and shifted operations to the Atlantic, with sources indicating a Liberia (under the ownership of Sovereign Trade Services LLC), and then more recently Gambia flag (ownership unknown). In August 2020 the vessel was reported sold to undisclosed interests. On 25 September 2020 sources indicated the arrival of the vessel in Port Merak, Indonesia. Indications that the vessel was going to be scrapped in Indonesia October 2020.
