This vessel was boarded by the Norwegian coast guard when trawling for cod in international waters in the Barents Sea in 2006. The vessel had no flag, no call sign and no IMO number. It was later established that the vessel was the LOTUUS IMO 6706084. The vessel had been registered as owned by MFV Lootus OU in Estonia until it disappeared from all registers in 2002. It is likely that the vessel was fishing with no quotas and no reporting for four years until it was caught by the coast guard. The vessel was then reportedly bought by the Silvia Vieira Group in Aveiro, Portugal. This vessel was included in the NEAFC IUU list on 21 July 2006 whilst named LOOTUS. This vessel held the name RED from February 2007 to 28 August 2009 alongside periods in the Panama and Guinea registries. Vessel later renamed to KABOU on 28 August 2009. This vessel was delisted on 14 November 2012 due to scrapping of the vessel.
