This vessel was first included in the NPFC IUU list on 19 August 2018. This vessel was sighted by Japanese authorities drifting in the Convention Area at 39˚49.7'N, 147˚2.8'E on 21 July 2017 and at 41˚3.3'N, 150˚22.1'E on 2 August 2017. This vessel was flying a China flag at the time of sighting and was owned by Shidao Group Co., Ltd based in China. This vessel was inspected by China on 9 October 2017 and removed from China registry soon after. Japanese authorities suggest this vessel operates in cooperation with LU RONG YUAN YU 797. This vessel was last observed on 15 January 2021 anchored close to shore near the port of Hong Kong.
